Laboratory of medical assessment of professional suitability
Mission: assistance to persons with disabilities in the restoration of the abilities for vocational training, education, labor activity by the formation of an individual rehabilitation program for a disabled person with rehabilitation appointments aimed at eliminating environmental barriers limiting their livelihoods , quality of life.
The purpose of the laboratory's scientific research: Development of assessment and rehabilitation technologies containing methods and procedures for restoring at the stage of medical rehabilitation the abilities to work professionally in persons with disabilities (lost due to health problems), as well as normative, methodological materials, recommendations, manuals for specialists containing them. Development of methods and procedures for the examination of the ability to work, training (professional) as categories of vital activity, as well as the examination of the degree of loss of professional ability to work due to accidents at work and (or) occupational diseases , traffic accidents, and other insured events.
Subject of research is the materials of legislative and regulatory acts, administrative documents regulating vocational training, vocational training, employment from the spheres of health care, education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Construction, Sports, Culture, etc.
Object of research are:
- children aged from 14 to 18 years (for the purposes of diagnostics, assessment of the ability to vocational training and employment, including when entering vocational education institutions);
- persons of working age (for the assessment of the ability to work, the degree of loss of professional ability to work, suitability for employment in hazardous and hazardous working conditions, assessment of hygienic prerequisites for establishing the connection of diseases with occupational causes, suitability of young specialists at the first workplace, suitability in the profession, etc.).
Areas of activity (tasks)::
- organization and conduct of scientific research on the profile of the laboratory:
- implementation of the results of scientific developments in practice.
- development of innovative technologies, techniques, research in the field of medical assessment and rehabilitation, including assessment of professional suitability, professional ability to work, the formation of programs of vocational and labor rehabilitation.
- implementation of international cooperation with organizations of other countries in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, including the implementation of scientific relations and joint developments in the field of medical assessment and medical rehabilitation with scientific centers of other states.
- development and improvement of scientifically grounded technologies for the assessment of professional suitability, professional ability to work, professional and labor rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
- development of scientifically based criteria for the accessibility of a profession for mastering, based on vocational training and vocational training, employment for persons with disabilities.
- organization and implementation of practical activities of the laboratory, patients, social deficiency, in terms of the ability to work.
- determination of the degree of loss of professional ability to work in persons who have suffered damage to health as a result of an industrial accident or occupational disease, as well as who have received injury or other damage to health as a result of other insured events, other cases established by law.
- professional consultation of patients in order to select the optimal conditions and nature of work, taking into account the degree of loss of professional (general) work ability.
- carrying out professional diagnostics, professional advice for disabled children aged from 14 to 18 years in order to select the intended profession for training, corresponding to the state of health, taking into account the possibility of their subsequent employment.
- analysis of working conditions at specific workplaces according to the submitted documents, as well as professional analysis in order to select optimal working conditions, determine the degree of loss of professional ability to work.
- implementation of professional assessment, development of programs for vocational and labor rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
